The Winter Haunting

The Winter Haunting was awarded with being a Semifinalist in the Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA) in July of 2018.

It was also shown at The Northern Appalachian Film Co-Operative (NAFCo) Film Festival in August of 2018

Director Samual Molloy, Producer Monica Fannin, and Sarah Prince formed a three-person team to create a story about a Yuki-Onna within Ainu Culture.

After a failed fishing expenditure, a child embarks on a journey through a dense and frigid forest to return to a Japanese Ainu village. Having grown up on the tales of the Yuki-Onna, or snow woman, the child fears the ghostly spirit may appear on this snowy evening as dusk approaches. After gathering the courage to pass through the eerie Torii Gate, a Yuki-Onna appears and begins to hunt the child. Trying to pass through the forest and around the Sacred Tree, the child finds a false sense of security once the frozen river comes into sight. Will the Yuki-Onna capture it's prey or be forced to accept defeat?
